Still Here

I'm still around, I just haven't had much of any motivation to blog recently. After my run on December 4th, I took some more time off. I didn't run for close to two weeks. When I resumed running, the pain in my groin was gone, but now the front of my hip is tight. I've been wondering if it has anything to do with starting back up after a layoff.

This morning's four miles were eventful. I ran out along the parkway, and where they've been doing construction they've begun to repave the path. However, they have not repaved it entirely, and there are still some sections where there is still dirt, which is rough from all of the tire tracks of the construction vehicles. This morning I was running on the dirt, and about to jump up to the pavement, when BAM! I tripped and went down. I was able to get my hands down, so nothing was hurt, I just got a little dirty. I was very careful the rest of the time I was running through the construction zone.

Christmas preparations are going well. j still does not quite understand Santa. If I ask him what he wants Santa to bring him, he'll answer "Trucks!" but he doesn't seem to think about it unless he's asked. Neither he nor b wanted to sit on Santa's lap when they came to visit me at work today.
