I had a pretty nice end to my Memorial Day weekend. The trip to Charlottesville was largely uneventful, and really was just about unnecessary. Originally, we were going to try to plan some activities for my in-laws, we scrapped that idea just picked up some of the brochures in the visitor's center. The one good thing that came out of the trip was finding a hotel that is pretty close to everything.

My run Sunday morning before I left was terrible. I was very tired and ended up cutting my run short to 4 miles. I just wanted to crawl back into my bed.

My run Monday was much better, however. I got a good night's rest and did 16+ miles in a little over two hours. Days like this make me feel like I have a good chance of meeting my goal at the Distance Run.
